SADAIVA SATHI – AN INITIATIVE BY MUMBAI CUSTOMS

Pr Chief Commissioner has formulated a very novel idea of " SADAIVA SAATHI' (friends forever) to acknowledge the contribution of each and every Officer/staff member, by way of starting a dedicated cell to serve the retired Officers and officers retiring in near future.  Sadaiva Sathi Cell, (in Pr. Chief Commissioner's Office) will deal with the matter related to post retirement dispensation, exclusively. The dedicated cell has been created with an objective of speedy redress and effective monitoring of the grievances besides providing a fast access to the retired employees.

Mandate of Sadaiva Sathi Cell is as under:-

a.    Sadaiva Sathi Cell is a single window interface for the Retired Officers /staff members to seek help, guidance and register their grievances pertaining to get their rightful entitlements.

b.   Sadaiva Sathi Cell will facilitate for retired officers of Mumbai customs and will also help in value addition of the entire process as the retired officers will provide inputs and suggestions for improving the system.

c.    Sadaiva Sathi Cell to enable retired Officers Association to access information/ lodge grievances on behalf of their members,

d.   Sadaiva Sathi Cell will also help in conducting Orientation Training Programme for the retiring Govt. officials, on regular basis.

The zeal and fervor of 'SADAIVA SATHI', a sacred mission, is an inspiring way to give back to the community of Government servants and their families and help those in need. It needs whole hearted support from the retired Officers by way of sharing their experience of working with Mumbai Customs with reference to initiative taken by CBEC vide F.No. C-50/50/2015-Ad.II dated 20.03.2015. An appeal is made to the retired officers to share their story of success, anti-smuggling cases, rare photographs, unforgettable cases of seizures, achievement in sports, meritorious performances and awards etc.  Such experience sharing will reinforce the value of Trust, loyalty, glory of customs and will also reflect the history of positive culture of Mumbai Customs to the new officers/staff ( i.e. new/current up generation of the Officers).
